Objective

The Master of Laws in International Law (MIL) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary topics related to international law. It prepares graduates with the skills and practical applications necessary to engage with international legal frameworks in the context of global relations, emphasizing research and effective communication.

The program also seeks to instill a strong sense of leadership, interpersonal competence, and a spirit of innovation, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of justice, human rights, and sustainable governance at national, regional, and international levels.


MIL Study Program

The School of Public Policy at the National University of Management offers a Master's program in International Law. Students must complete two years of coursework, earning a total of 48 credits, and are required to write a thesis.

***Specialized seminars are conducted by each supervisor and/or organized as a series by the NUM School of Public Policy to support students in mastering their majors and in writing their master’s theses. Within one week after the event, each student must submit the thesis deliverables and reflection papers to the administration for credit.

At the end of the Master's Program in International Law, the students will be able to:

Admission and Graduation Requirements

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law, or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (Cambodia). 

Candidates are required to successfully defend their research proposal and demonstrate English proficiency.

Under the Master’s Program in International Law, students must complete a two-year curriculum consisting of 48 credit hours. This includes 36 credits for basic core, major, and elective courses, and 12 credits for the thesis, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0. Students are also encouraged to actively participate in guest lectures, workshops, academic dialogue forums, and local or overseas study tours.
