Mock Public Consulation

On February 14, Associate Professor Nop Kanharith, Director of the NUM School of Public Policy, participated as a legal expert in a mock public hearing organized by Professor Dr. Peter Becker’s class on Law and Public Policy.

The mock public hearing, which simulated a public consultation on an expropriation project, was organized and facilitated by students from the master’s program in Public Policy at the NUM School of Public Policy. It was delighted to observe the students’ enthusiastic and proactive participation in this classroom activity. Under the Law on Expropriation, such forums are conducted during the initial stages of expropriation to help mitigate the potential impacts of the project.

The students performed exceptionally well, demonstrating a profound understanding of the subject matter. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Professor Dr. Peter Becker for his innovative teaching methods and exemplary leadership.
